Ok so with AppDelete Version 4 being the future of AppDelete, there really haven't been too many Version 3 updates. Today I am releasing one which is basically a bug-fix release. If you are already using Version 4 you need to do nothing. If you are still using Version 3 please do update. If you are confused you need at least Lion to run Version 4, anything older you cannot update. The built-in updater should also recognize this and only offer you to update if your OS can handle it. VidConvert Version 1.4.3 is now available with German and Russian localizations for the first time! There are also other minor changes and bug fixes. Happy New Year to everyone as this is my first release of the new year. As always there are many things in work, but first off is to get VidConvert to you in various languages starting today! There will be several updates coming with a few new languages to be included each time. Version 1.4 includes French and Portuguese along with some other important updates. Looking forward to another year and best wishes to you all!

Today I am releasing AppDelete Version 4.0.5 which completes some of the missing French, Italian, and Dutch translations. There is also a new preference to disable sound effects for those that prefer not to hear them. :-) There are also other localization edits and bug fixes.

Another bug-fix release today with AppDelete Version 4.0.4 which fixes an issue with the Quit when Closing preference and a potential registration issue which could affect certain users. As always a recommended update for all users. Thanks!

Today I am releasing AppDelete Version 4.0.3 with a feature that has been requested by a number of users, the ability to hide the Menu Bar icon when running in Hidden mode. With the release of Version 4 I do believe that Hidden mode has been made more user-friendly for most users, but there are some that prefer the way it worked in Version 3 and basically this new preference allows this. If anyone has questions about this just let me know thanks!

A relatively minor update to AppDelete is being released today, Version 4.0.2. This version fixes a few bugs that should hold users over until I release a few of the bigger things that I am working on. :-) One of them being the Super-Hidden mode that many users are requesting without the menubar icon the way it was in Version 3. Been a bit quiet recently with VidConvert but first I want to say thank you for the success in the Mac App Store! And today I am releasing Version 1.3.3. I really appreciate the great feedback I've been receiving about AppDelete Version 4. It's definitely the best AppDelete ever! Today I am releasing Version 4.0.1 which fixes a few of the minor issues that were reported with the initial release. So go ahead and update today and chances are that if you were one of the few that experienced any issues after updating that now it's fixed!

I'm very excited to announce that AppDelete Version 4.0 is now available! AppDelete was first introduced in 2006 and now with the 4.0 release it has never been better. Just an update to let everyone know that AppDelete, AppDelete Lite, and VidConvert are all compatible with Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion. The site has been updated today to reflect this, even though they have actually been compatible for some time. The only one that's not compatible is the older AppDelete Version 2 and if you are still using it now I would suggest the Upgrade for 50% off which can be found at the bottom of the main AppDelete page. VidConvert is now available in the Mac App Store! There was a delay in getting VidConvert into the App Store as it's been available here on my site for quite some time, but once again now it's there. I'm very excited about this and being able to reach a larger audience. Now for those that know App Store apps can sometimes have limitations the changes to VidConvert are minimal. Basically you cannot convert from .vob, and the Save to Source folder option has been removed. On the plus side for users you will not have to manually install a Conversion Engine (FFmpeg) upon first launch, although you can still update it on your own. It's even sandboxed. And finally it's on sale for 50% off for a limited time! So enough said go check it out in the Mac App Store! :-)

VidConvert Version 1.3.2 is available today. Version 1.3.2 is an important update that fixes an issue where converting to the H.264 codec could fail when using the latest FFmpeg release. AppDelete Lite Version 3.2.7 is now also available in the Mac App Store. Besides the various localization edits the cool thing about Version 3.2.7 is that the App Store descriptions are now translated into different languages! So if you're in Germany you will now read the App Store description in German, and if you're in Japan you will read it in Japanese, and so on. I'm pleased to announce that VidConvert Version 1.3 is now available. Version 1.3 is a significant update with the highlight being that VidConvert is now able to create a DVD! I know that many of you have been requesting this feature and it's now ready. There are also a number of other new features/improvements such as being able to keep the original date of the file and the ability to convert to Theora (.ogg). For a full changelog click Here. There were a few reports of trash monitoring being triggered by auto-updates and there is a fix in Version 3.2.6 to address this issue. Although it's always possible that the occasional auto-update slips through, in general they should be ignored and you should see better results with this latest release. And just a reminder, for those occasional updates that might slip through just click on Cancel and they will be ignored. Version 3.2.6 is now available and a recommended update for all users.

VidConvert Version 1.2.3 is now available and provides support for the new iPad 3 and Apple TV 3. There is also improved handling of .webm videos and other miscellaneous improvements. Update today and stay tuned…Version 1.3 is coming soon! :-)

AppDelete Lite Version 3.2.5 is now available in the Mac App Store. Just like AppDelete the Lite version now has Czech for the first time. There were some other localization edits as well. Grab a copy today from the Mac App Store or tell a friend! Here's a Link.

Also, just like VidConvert, AppDelete is now signed with an Apple Developer ID which will be useful in 10.8 (Mountain Lion). (Update) There was a temporary problem with the French localization in this release and has now been re-uploaded to resolve the issue. VidConvert Version 1.2.2 is being released today and it contains a couple of bug fixes when using the deinterlace option and when entering values into the Advanced panel. If you've been having any issues and even if not you should update at your earliest convenience. VidConvert Version 1.2.2 is also now signed with an Apple Developer ID. This won't mean much to most of you right now, but when 10.8 Mountain Lion comes out there will be a new security feature called Gatekeeper which will warn you if an app is not from a trusted developer. The app also will not be able to launch depending on your settings. Since there are plenty of apps that are not able to be sold via the App Store due to strict guidelines of what is/is not allowed, apps being sold outside of the App Store will continue to thrive. But not being signed with a Developer ID will create a problem for these developers (like myself) so I have chosen to get this out of the way early. :-) You can read more about Gatekeeper on Apple's site, and of course more about VidConvert on my own. It is a minor update and addresses a few issues…fixes an issue where Undo from folder might not work, fixes an issue where other volumes could affect trash monitoring, fixes a search field issue when changing views, and other minor optimizations. Thanks to Apple and quick App Store processing AppDelete Lite Version 3.2.3 is also available today! Typically AppDelete and AppDelete Lite releases will be about the same time, with AppDelete Lite usually a few days behind due to App Store processing. Just wanted to let you know that it is possible you will see an iOS project released later this year! :-) I can't give many details at the moment, and unfortunately I can't say whether it will be just iPhone or iPhone/iPad. I'm excited to announce AppDelete Lite Version 3.2.2 today! There has always been a challenge to make a version of AppDelete that is allowed in the Mac App Store and at the same time useful for the user. But I think I finally got it! AppDelete Lite will now move files that do not require an administrator password to the trash automatically just like AppDelete. Only files that require a password need to be moved manually. And remember AppDelete Lite is only 1/2 the price of AppDelete! So now whether you prefer the full power of AppDelete, or if the App Store is a priority for you there is a version of AppDelete to meet your needs. VidConvert Version 1.1.4 is now out and fixes an issue where High quality might create too large of a filesize. It also fixes an issue where using one of the iTunes formats might unnecessarily resize the video. There are also general quality improvements and optimizations. Grab a copy today!

Also, Bits per Pixel has been added to the Info panel, along with other minor fixes. All the Help files are now completely localized and there have a number of localization edits and updates. The status bar on the AppDelete main window now updates during processing which can be beneficial for people using Universal Access.
